For the keen beans who want to have a blossoming career, learn to grow your path with a mock career track in this session. 

We love a good list, so grab your pen we’ll be noting the Pros & Cons for each career and change. 

No one grows in a vacuum, so it’s important we teach you how to engage on professional platforms and network. Sometimes it’s about making your own luck, so it’s best you build a supportive network to help. We’ll also share insightful online courses and career resources to keep that gorgeous brain ticking. 

Meet the speakers:

Rosamund Dean, Journalist, author and deputy editor at Grazia

Previously entertainment director of Red, she has profiled stars such as Ralph Fiennes, Reese Witherspoon and Natalie Portman. She has contributed to The Sunday Times and Women's Health, as well as consulting for brands including Disney. Before joining Grazia, she was acting deputy editor of Stylist and ES Magazine.

She is the author of Mindful Drinking: How Cutting Down Can Change Your Life, a practical guide for those who want to have a healthier relationship with alcohol.

Rosamund lives in London with her husband, Sunday Times writer Jonathan Dean, and their two children.

Lara Hayward, Lead for Creative Industries at Careers Service at University of Oxford

Lara is currently on sabbatical training in Circus Arts at Circomedia. Previously she was lead for careers in Arts, Heritage and the Creative Industries at the University of Oxford. She is a Dance Assistant for the English National Ballet’s Dance for Parkinsons programme and a qualified triathlon coach. She has particular research interests in high performance environments and parallels between sport and the arts, the effects of the natural environment, creativity and movement on health and wellbeing, and in coaching people through career transitions.

As part of her portfolio career, Lara also undertakes B Corp advisory work, enabling start-ups and SMEs through the BIA and B Corp certification process.

Previously, Lara held Non-Executive Director positions for Mountain Training England and the Paralympic NGB, Boccia UK. As Legal Counsel at UK Sport she managed all regulatory aspects of investment into Olympic/Paralympic sport including anti-doping, funding eligibility, governance and athlete welfare matters. Alongside her legal career, Lara worked in Athlete Services at the London 2012 Olympics, as Ireland’s Team Liaison Officer at the England 2015 Rugby World Cup and at the ITU Triathlon series

Naomi Walkland, Associate Marketing Director, EMEA Marketing at Bumble

Naomi is a creative and commercially-minded senior marketing professional with experience in international marketing, leading teams, driving strategy and innovation and creating impactful brand marketing campaigns.


Naomi currently works at Bumble where she is responsible for strategic brand marketing planning and delivery to support Bumble's international expansion and brand ambitions across the EMEA region.

Before joining Bumble, Naomi held positions at some of the best international firms including, Ogilvy, Exposure, Quintessentially, and Teneo Blue Rubicon where she worked with global brands including Google, Uber, Evian, and Pernod Ricard.

Alongside her work in marketing, Naomi founded the international sell-out panel series ‘The Power of Quitting’ in September 2017, which includes a stellar panel of influential women from across the world and has a community in the thousands.

In 2018, Naomi was named one of the '100 Faces of a Vibrant Economy' by Grant Thornton - an award that recognises individuals for their commitment to developing an economy that enables people, organisations and communities to flourish.
