We’ll discuss how mentees and mentors can build powerful relationships and provide practical ideas on how to get the most from their mentorship. Etiquette and ways of working will be discussed, as well as how to find support. This event is perfect for anyone who wants to get more out of their mentorship! We are bringing you a panel of mentees and mentors sharing their journey of working together.

Meet the guests:

Cat Lewis, Senior Account Manager at Continuous

Cat is a Senior Account Manager at Continuous, a branding consultancy agency based in Liverpool.

Originally an Events Management graduate, Cat moved into marketing and production and gained work experience through multiple agencies specialising in design, employer brand and production.

As part of her roles she has produced shoots internationally for fashion brands such as Tessuti, Primark, Levi’s and Asics which has seen her work with high-profile names across the industry.

As well as shoot production, Cat has also been a VFX producer on two BBC shows where she managed the visual effects for Worzel Gummidge and the Snow Spider.

Daniella Dickinson, Creative Director at BBC Studios

An approachable and focused Creative Director with 20 years award-winning, television experience in the UK, EMEA and the Asia Pacific region. Daniella manages a team of Creatives and Designers, motivating them to produce world-class creative for our BBC entertainment channels across EMEA. Her expertise lies in strategy, development and execution of broadcast brands and 360 promotional campaigns.

Daniella is passionate about creative strategy, potential in people and equality. She is a single mum to a spirited eight year old daughter and would consider her personal strengths to be resilience, resourcefulness, empathetic leadership and juggling all of the above.

Varun Vassanth, Founder Associate at Patch

Varun is currently part of the founding team at Patch, where they are setting up community-oriented coworking clubs in towns around the UK. Varun's passion lies in widening access to opportunity and platforming narratives of marginalised individuals, which has largely materialised as experience in the education sector. They run a non-profit, Opportutoring, providing freely accessible English language learning and cultural exchange for refugees and displaced people, and previously co-authored a paper for the London Review of Education on frameworks for decolonising curricula in further education. They now engaged in startups and very much motivated by collaborative and community-based projects which is why I'm at Patch!

Gina Deen

Gina is a Social Influence Planner who sits within the MSL UK strategy team, working on everything from organic and paid social solutions, to helping matchmake brands with the right talent and influencers to supporting the team on integrated PR needs.

Gina has worked in the world of consumer PR for just over five years; devising, implementing and managing Social and Influencer campaigns across a range of tech, beauty, fashion and entertainment brands.

Before joining MSL UK, Gina worked in Karmarama’s Social team, consulting on social activations, devising influencer strategies and working across integrated campaign solutions in order to grow the businesses’ offering and outputs for clients including Lidl, The British Army and NCS.

To that end, Gina is also an Ok Mentor committee member, working on the Mentor Relations team to engage senior female professionals and helping to bring new mentors into the programme.
