The industry language can be complicated and hard to navigate. What does it mean? How can we start to crack the creative codes and open up?
Industry language can often be a barrier to confidence and development, particularly early on. To help us overcome this, we have the incredible Lauren Spearman and Tijana Tamburic on the panel for this month's OK Hustle.
Meet the guests:
Lauren Spearman, Head of Social & Advocacy at MADE.COM
Lauren has been working in digital advertising and marketing for over 10 years. Starting her career in Manchester working for Sky Media selling TV sponsorship, the lure of London soon pulled Lauren down to the big smoke where she transitioned to the world of digital advertising. After a small stint working for a influencer agency start up, she moved to parenting website Netmums focusing on creative brand partnerships, before making the switch client side three years ago. Today, Lauren leads the Europe-wide team at MADE.COM, generating brand love, advocacy, and building relationships amongst content creators, customers, and employees.
Tijana Tamburic, Co-founder at Female Narratives
Tijana Tamburic co-founded Female Narratives with fellow model Franzi Klein in 2017. After 10 years in the modeling industry (having been scouted at the age of 15) she was dropped, without warning, by her agency for not being thin enough. Disillusioned with the system of both modeling and ad agencies, Tamburic wanted to utilise her other skills and passions that were never encouraged by her agency. That’s why she started Female Narratives: a creative agency that operates using a collective of female-only talent to tell stories through women. It brings together over 100 creative women ranging from directors to artists to poets. Clients include Bumble, North Face, W Hotels, Kiehl’s and dozens of female-led sustainable and ethical brands.
We are very excited for this month's OK Hustle! Look forward to seeing you there!
